Arizona Tourism has Another Record-Setting Year for Visitation and Spending
TUCSON (July 10, 2008) – Arizona’s tourism industry experienced another record-setting year for visitation and spending numbers, Arizona Office of Tourism (AOT) Director Margie A. Emmermann announced today at the Governor’s Conference on Tourism.
Governor Napolitano Announces $1.1 Million in Tourism Matching Grants
PHOENIX (July 14, 2008) — Governor Janet Napolitano announced today that the Arizona Office of Tourism (AOT) is awarding $1.1 million in matching grants to tourism organizations and tribal entities across the state for fiscal year 2009.
Tourism Industry Honors Leaders at Arizona Governor’s Conference on Tourism
TUCSON (July 11, 2008) – Arizona tourism professionals recognized and honored industry leaders today at the Governor’s Conference on Tourism.
Arizona Office of Tourism Launches “Arizona Passages” to promote 27 Arizona State Parks and the 800-mile Arizona Trail
With fuel prices reaching an all-time high, many Arizona residents are looking to vacation closer to home this summer. Fortunately, they won’t have to look much further than their own backyards. To encourage travel instate, the Arizona Office of Tourism has teamed up with Arizona State Parks department and the Arizona Trail Association to launch the “Arizona Passages” campaign.
AOT Launches Music Project Using Social Networking
AOT has developed the Arizona Music Project (AMP), a six-minute musical tribute to Arizona that captures the state’s diverse geography, culture and heritage in music. In addition to the composition, a documentary was created to chronicle the journey of the musicians who contributed to the project.
